Having to fly our father in from out of state - and having to coordinate with two funeral homes - and scheduling military honors - and having to shift and change dates and plans several times - I cannot imagine that any other funeral home would have done even nearly as well - and served us as professionally and compassionately as Poole. We are so thankful and can easily and highly recommend them to your family!
Our family chose L. Harold Poole Funeral Service to handle the funeral arrangements for my sister upon her untimely passing following a short but valiant battle with cancer. We could not have made a better decision during this very difficult time. That was quickly confirmed for me during my initial phone conversation with Melissa Barnes and for our family during our first meeting with Melissa. She was genuinely compassionate and focused completely on our family throughout the process, as was her entire team, making us feel as comfortable as possible and providing much needed guidance. We felt at home, which is what we had hoped for with a locally owned business. We loved the fact that they had a beautiful, traditional church-style chapel. It was the perfect setting for he celebration of life service. Our family cannot say enough good things about our experience with them. Even though we all live in Raleigh or Wake Forest, they are #1 on our list. We highly recommend that you consider them in your time of need.
