★★★★★My husband and I tragically lost our infant daughter last September. Mara from Glen Haven was amazing during the tragedy of all of this, as well as Tim from Baldwin Fairchild/Dignity who held the service.
While the hospitals seems to have lacked compassion or urgency for our family during my baby's untimely death, Glen Haven was very supportive and Mara did everything possible to help us have the burial and headstone our daughter needed within our budget. She recorded our daughter's service too and took photos for us. Thank you so much for helping this traumatic situation be less daunting and we will always remember you.
Also the cemetery itself is beautiful. Love all of the butterflies and birds. It feels more like a park or nature trail and it's very peaceful. I'm also very grateful with how lenient they are with decorating your loved ones grave because a lot of other cemeteries are much more strict (I have a grandmother buried in New York and we can't even leave flowers on her tomb because it isn't allowed for that specific cemetery).
The fountain and pond area of Glen Haven cemetery are beautiful and it's nice to see so many artistic statues or headstones.
This is specifically for the Winter Park location near Rollins University and I wasn't sure if there were multiple other locations.
★★★★★Each year my wife, daughter, and I look forward to joining the host, and a patriotic group of military servicemen and women, JROTC students, Scouts, several military service organizations, included but not limited to, Veterans of Foreign Wars -VFW, Daughters of the American Revolution - DAR, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans - DAV, retired military people and their families, neighbors and friends, along with civilians from every walk to spend a couple hours remembering, giving honor and tribute to many who gave themselves for our sakes.
The host, Dignity Memorial, is owed much gratitude for a long tradition of hosting the event, rain or shine, to help us reminisce through song, led by vocalist Charles Hougabrooks, prayer to The Almighty God, gun salute, wreath laying, recognition of those absent, and missing in action, those present who served in the various conflicts in which their comrades were lost, and displays honoring the branches of the military.
Dignity went a step further to arrange complimentary hot dogs and ice cream from food trucks extending their customary after-event informal cookout snack by staff and perhaps volunteers.
Dignity is keeping the tribute alive, demonstrating that first recognize Memorial Day, then follow it with what has overshadowed this important remembrance to ads for beach, BBQ, travel, and shopping.
The tent has been a long standing sensible element to the function and the trailer restrooms. I did not see a way to the trailer restroom for handicapped persons. Perhaps they would use restroom inside the office facility?
The vocalist's voice volume appeared to be going up and down perhaps because of the distance of the sound system from the gathering.
The military displays needed some anchoring against the wind, to reduce falling from being blown over.

★★★★★Regretfully for me,I have been visiting Glen Haven for the last 19 years as both my grandparents rest here and I try to visit and honor them as frequently as I can.
Due to unforeseen conditions I had not been able to visit this last year until today and the conditions that I’ve found the cemetery in general are short to say just deplorable. When I first drove in, the entrance caught my attention as it’s full of weeds, the fountain its off, some bricks has fallen off and it looks abandoned. As I made the way to where I was going it was just worst and worst there’s weeds growing through the walls, letters of plots just in the floor everywhere, mold/ mildew everywhere, several pot holes, even the trash containers have weeds growing through them! What’s happening? Why there’s no maintenance other than cutting the grass whatsoever? Where is all the money we’ve paid for used on? (sadly my mom and 3 siblings also have plots already purchased here for when their time comes)
This is just sad and completely unacceptable, this not just occurred in couple of weeks or days.

My mother was buried in Glen Haven Cemetery in 2003. I stopped by recently after 20 years to visit for the 1st time and I was super impressed on how good the gravestone looked. It brought back such good memories of my mom, I miss her every day. Angela, the general manager was exceptionally gracious and kind to have one of her assistants take me in person directly to it as soon as I came on site. The grounds there in Winter Park are managed well and the staff is top notch. My wife and I are planning on being berried in the same plot. Would recommend to all my friends and family 5 STARS!!!! I would give more starts if I could.
