I am heartbroken to be writing a review like this. Two years ago, when I buried my son here, the experience was smooth and handled with compassion. Jason, who used to work here, was wonderful and always helpful. Unfortunately, things have changed drastically since he left.
In June 2025, my son’s headstone was knocked over on a Sunday. I went to the office the very next day with questions, and I was completely brushed off. No one followed up with me—not once. I had to learn on my own that this wasn’t an isolated incident.
I later heard from others that their loved ones’ benches and ledgers were also damaged around the same time. One family witnessed their bench being knocked over by the third‑party lawn care service. Another had a ledger run over, with tire marks and scrapes that were impossible to deny. Yet none of us received communication, accountability, or help from the cemetery.
This situation has caused my family enormous stress and anxiety during an already painful time. I deeply regret choosing this place for my son’s final resting spot. The lack of responsibility and care shown recently is unacceptable.
★★★★★While arranging services at Laurel Land for my mom. My experience was top-notch. It started out with his Pam making sure that I had something nice and warm to drink. I'm not a coffee drinking so she took her own hot chocolate and made me hot chocolate. There was also Ms Kim and Ms Debra that assisted me and my family with making the arrangements they were very kind and patient with us. All questions for answered. We did not leave until we were completely satisfied. And they made sure that we were okay with everything. Thank you LauraLand and for your outstanding services.

I highly recommend Laurel Land for your burial needs. The manner and dignity when they picked up and transported my mother’s body was the most remarkable thing I witnessed. They were understanding and patiently waited for my family to have our moment with mom. They handled her with care and dignity. The chapel for her services was gorgeous and I felt good knowing my mom would be pleased with her celebration of life and arrangements. We even got an awesome spot for her gravesite that makes it so inviting to visit her and picnic. They drove us around the whole cemetery to help us decide. They took their time no rushing.

They made sure my needs were met and consulted with me when certain things arose. When family issues were addressed and resolved with my final approval. We received the most memorable service and outstanding care from our Funeral Director and staff at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Arthur Mitchell made the process simple and easy for us. He made himself available to us and made us feel like we were the ONLY family being served, although it was obviously a pretty busy time for them. He and other staff, and support staff Mel Davis, Marvin Wilson, Myron Goins, and Glenn Boyd were absolutely impeccable in their service to our family, and provided us with service at a quality that we'll never forget.
