We have experienced three deaths in our family in the last three years. We had excellent care and concern shown to our loved ones and our grieving family. We especially would like to highlight Devonne Rowlen. We worked with her each time and could not be more impressed with her demeanor, care and support. She made a difficult time much more bearable based on her clear and kind demeanor. We could not recommend her more. With Gratitude!
Thomas Miller Mortuary did an amazing job handling all the details for my mom’s remains and helping with her Celebration of Life services. They had prepared her for open casket viewing, and the ladies who did her make-up and arrangement did a lovely job. Marissa is INCREDIBLE to work with - she made a very hard situation so much easier for our family with her professionalism and knowledge. Everyone there is very compassionate, detailed orientated and very on top of things. Highly recommend.
Keysha and staff were absolutely amazing in the preparation and presentation of my son’s funeral. There was so much love and personal care that went into the entire process. Keysha took a moment in time that was so surreal, overwhelming, and painful and turned it into a very smooth and beautiful end of life celebration for my son, family and friends. The entire staff was so helpful from the very beginning to that final day. I would highly recommend Thomas Miller Mortuary and their professional staff to anyone needing assistance with funeral preparation for their loved one. I am writing to formally document my experience with this funeral home following two recent services my family arranged. Unfortunately, the level of service delivered was deeply disappointing, especially given the emotional circumstances under which funeral arrangements are made. For both funerals, I was charged similar service fees; however, one invoice appeared to include charges that were nearly double, without a clear explanation. I paid the full amounts before the services were conducted, including payment for 20 death certificate copies for one funeral and 5 copies for the second. Despite paying in full, the funeral home provided only one certificate in “pending” status for one service and two copies for the other. The remaining certificates—already paid for—were withheld. I was then issued an additional bill for $348 and informed that unless I paid this new amount, the remaining certificates would not be released. During an already painful and emotionally overwhelming time, this situation created unnecessary stress and distress. The communication I received felt pressured and demanding, which no grieving family should have to endure from a service provider entrusted with such sensitive responsibilities. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this funeral home. The lack of transparency, the withholding of prepaid documents, and the overall handling of my situation caused significant hardship at a time when compassion and professionalism were needed most.
