I have never in my life been treated more disrespectfully by someone than I was treated by Mara, the director at Still Waters Funeral Service. At a time when I was at my most vulnerable, handling the unexpected and devastating death of my best friend, Mara phoned me and screamed at me that I needed to stop calling to check up on the cremation process that she was in charge of. I had called her once. I was only in LA for a few days and had planned to pick up the ashes to take them home to her family in WI. My flight back and hotel stay were based on when this was completed. Again, I called her office once, and the crematory twice during my week long stay. When I saw Mara calling, I felt such a sense of relief that I would finally have some answers. But no, from the moment I picked up the phone she was incredibly hostile, yelled at me as I cried, and hung up on me. I was in complete shock. If you want to be treated with dignity and respect during the incredibly difficult process of planning your loved ones services, please do not use use this company.

Mara at Still Waters was incredibly responsive, efficient and friendly. While a little more expensive than other options I found, it was worth it for the attention, sensitivity and ease working with Mara and her team.

★★★★★Our experience was extremely positive. During one of the most difficult times in our lives we were blessed with kind and considerate staff. They went above and beyond ecxpectations. For example I traveled from Massachusetts to California to get my sons Ashe’s and this was a terrible and extremely painful time in my life. I was staying at a hotel in sandiego when I received a call that the Ashe’s were ready to be picked up. They were located about 1/2 hour from our location so I said I would call for an Uber and get there soon. The women from still waters said “no you don’t need to do that I will bring them to your hotel and will call you when I get there😀. That just demonstrated to me the kind and loving people we were dealing with!! I would highly recommend them to anyone!!
